Once completed, this neighborhood plan will unlock special state funding to implement these proposed strategies through the New Jersey Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit (NRTC) Program. It will also give us a comprehensive analysis of the community’s opportunities and needs.

This planning process aims to be truly community-driven. Community members will have opportunities to provide meaningful input through an online survey, a series of community meetings held throughout 2024, and other engagement opportunities. Community members will then be able to review and comment on a full draft of the neighborhood plan in early 2025.

This process follows a path that New Brunswick Tomorrow initially blazed in the Esperanza Neighborhood of New Brunswick, yielding a host of new programs and improvements. As NBT continues to drive forward its work in the Esperanza Neighborhood, it looks forward to bringing its capacity, resources, experience, and knowledge to benefit another neighborhood of this great city.

Cuando completo, este plan de vecindario abrirá el acceso a fundos estáteles especiales para implementar nuestras estrategias propuestas por medio del programa de Crédito Fiscal para Revitalización de Vecindarios (NRTC por sus siglas en inglés). También nos dará un análisis completo de las oportunidades y necesidades de la comunidad.

El proceso será impulsado por la comunidad. Miembros de la comunidad tendrán oportunidades para expresar su voz a través de una encuesta en línea, una serie de reuniones comunitarias programada a lo largo de 2024, y otras oportunidades de participación. Luego, los miembros de la comunidad podrán revisar y comentar sobre un borrador completo del plan de vecindario en los principios de 2025.

Este proceso sigue el sendero que New Brunswick Tomorrow inicialmente emprendió en el vecindario Esperanza en New Brunswick, resultando en muchos nuevos programas y mejoramientos.
